Huawei Patents A Phone Design With Attachable Zoom Lens:

Huawei has been holding a number of the best camera smartphones every year since its partnership with Leica begun. The versatile optical zoom camera arrangement on this handset shows it to be one of the best within the market. Now, as per a patent filed by Huawei, it’s a greater desire to stay its lead within the smartphone zoom technology. The company has additional plans to lead during this segment because it patents a design for a unique zoom camera smartphone at European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Periscope lens provides optical zoom on phones by using smaller space than a standard zoom system. But it still falls behind the normal zoom technology with larger sensors and lenses. Huawei objectives to resolution this by adding support for attachable lenses just like regular cameras. This particular design patent seems to possess a triple camera arrangement involving two smaller sensors, an elongated flash module, and a larger sensor which will be used with removable lenses. Huawei will not be the first to supply an attachable camera lens as Motorola previously tried it with its unsuccessful Moto Mod. Besides, it’s not certain if this design patent will ever get the sunshine of the day like various other patents.
